Hygge Time
Hygge means a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality.
It's a lifestyle that many (including me) aspire to. I've compiled a list of my favorite hygge-related links so that you can achieve your own version the idyllic Nordic lifestyle this winter! Not a promoted post-- I just believe knowledge is power!
1. IKEA (obviously). I love wandering the fake rooms in their stores, imagining myself in the sleek kitchen, cooking for a dinner party or curled up on a couch in front of a fire, reading a book. I've linked their winter holidays page. I have about ten items sitting in my cart right now...
2. Heirloom Art Co. I discovered their website yesterday and I'm hooked. They have so many Scandinavian Christmas decorations as well as a delightful selection of home decor items, gifts, furniture, etc. Take a look... when you have a few hours to spend!
3. DW Home Candles. Full disclosure-- they make one of the best Christmas candles. You will want to buy 100 just to make sure you have enough to make it through the holiday season.
4. Cheap Nordic Houses on Instagram. Once you have bought your candles and ornaments and sleek furniture, you'll need somewhere to put it all!
I hope this is a starting point for your independent pursuit of the hygge lifestyle!
