Oh, It's Such a Perfect Day
I'm glad I spent it with you
Oh, such a perfect day
You just keep me hanging on
Late to the game but I just heard Lou Reed sing this for the first time and it's become a mantra for the week/pandemic. I am fortunate to be employed still-- teaching high school from home. But there are moments where things just feel really hard. Panic and dread set in or depression spikes. Last week I felt overwhelmed by the amount of people who wanted to talk to me. I like talking on the phone but after days of teaching online and talking constantly, I wanted to curl up in a ball and hide. It helped me to realize that my schedule is different and that it's okay to nap a little more or take time to be silent. I kept trying to come up with a "smart" post but here is all I have. Images of things that make me happy and Lou Reed singing!
A poem I like
I made a cake last week
Tulips in our backyard
Tiny things gifted to me by my brother
Two experimental watercolors
